# Account settings

Account settings is where you change your profile, sign-in methods and a few app preferences. It is there once you are signed in with your [Himbit ID](#account).

## Opening it

On a desktop, tap your avatar at the top right, then the name card or **Account settings**. A large dialog opens with the sections on the left; close it with × or Esc. On a phone, go to the **Menu** tab and the Himbit account section. Settings open full screen there, with a Back button in each section.

If you try to leave with unsaved profile changes, Account settings asks before closing.

## Profile

Under **My information › Profile**:

- **Profile picture**: **Upload new** takes a JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF up to 15 MB. Drag and zoom to crop it, then **Apply**. It is saved as a 400 × 400 square. **Remove** takes it off.
- **User name**: your @username in chat and on what you share. It is 3–20 characters, using only a–z, 0–9 and _. It must start and end with a letter or a digit, with no double underscore. Upper case is turned into lower case. Reserved names, and names containing words like himbit, admin or support, are refused, and every name must be unique. The field checks as you type and tells you whether a name is available or what is wrong with it.
- **First name** and **Last name**: up to 40 characters each. Letters, spaces, apostrophes, dots and hyphens.
- **Email**: your sign-in email, read only.

**Save changes** saves the profile. **Discard** undoes your edits.

## Security

Under **My information › Security**:

- **Sign-in methods**: email code or password (always linked), Google (linked or not), and your passkeys. **Add a passkey** to sign in without a password.
- **Password**: **Change password** sets a new one, or sets your first one. It needs at least 8 characters with letters and numbers. If you have not signed in recently, you confirm with a code sent to your email first.
- **Sessions**: shows this device. **Sign out other devices** ends every other session and keeps you signed in here. **Sign out everywhere** ends all of them, this one included.
- **Trading key backup**: shows whether you have a backup. **Manage backup** opens Connections. See [Encrypted key backup](#key-backup).
- **Delete account**: there is no delete button yet. To close your account, contact the team through **Support center**.

## Subscriptions

Shows your plan. The current plan is **Free**, with live charts, order flow, alerts, chat and trading from the chart. Paid plans are announced as coming soon.

## Trade

Under **Trade** are settings that apply to every order, whether it comes from the order ticket, the chart, the phone order sheet or a TWAP. They are stored in this browser.

- **Confirm before sending**: on, every order opens the confirmation first. Off means one-click trading: orders, drags, cancels and closes go straight out. Binance Mainnet orders always ask for confirmation, and Binance orders from the chart use real funds on your Binance account.
- **Max order value**: a bigger opening order is refused before it is signed. Closes and reduce-only orders always pass.
- **Daily order limit**: the total value of opening orders from this browser per day. It resets at 00:00 UTC; leave it empty for no limit. The field shows how much you have used today. Closes always go through.
- **Market slippage cap**: your own cap for opening market orders. Closes keep the default 5%.
- **Size presets**: the four quick amounts under the order size, $25 / $50 / $100 / $250 unless you change them.
- **Pause one-click after**: with no click or key in any tab of the app for 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes (30 by default), one-click trading turns off. **Never** keeps it on.
- **Order and position lines**: show or hide your draggable order and position lines on the chart.

## Connections

Cards for **Hyperliquid trading**, **Binance trading** and **Encrypted key backup**, with Bybit marked as coming soon. Connecting a venue is covered in [Himbit ID: sign in and sync](#account), [Trade on a second device](#second-device) and [Encrypted key backup](#key-backup).

Trade and Connections only appear where you can trade from the chart. Inside Himbit's embedded chart they say trading from the chart is not available there.

## Other sections

- **Referral**: coming soon.
- **Support center**: **Help center** opens help.himbit.com for questions about your Himbit account, sign-in and trading keys. **Docs** opens these pages.
- **Keyboard shortcuts** (desktop only): the full list by group, and **Open the shortcut search**, the same as Ctrl + /.
- **Language**: pick one of 19 display languages. It applies at once and syncs with your account.
- **Release notes**: the versions on the left, the newest marked **Latest**; pick one to read its details on the right. **View all** opens the full release notes in your language.
- **Sign out** sits at the bottom of the list.

## Switches in the account menu

The avatar menu's **Profile** tab has two switches:

- **Product news by email**, off by default.
- **Share trading statistics with Himbit**, on by default. It shares balances and trade history of your connected accounts for product statistics. API keys, secrets and signatures never leave your device. **What is shared?** explains the details, and turning it off stops the sharing and deletes what was collected.

## What's new

When Himbit Markets gets an update, a **What's new** window opens the next time you load it: the version and date, the changes grouped on the left as **New**, **Improved** and **Fixed**, and one change at a time on the right with ‹ › to page through them. The footer links to **Report a bug or request a feature** and **View all release notes**. It shows once per version in each browser; you can read it again later under **Release notes**.
