# Relative Strength Index (RSI)
Relative strength index (Wilder): momentum on a 0-100 scale, used to spot overbought / oversold conditions and divergences.

## How to read it

- Above 70 is overbought, below 30 oversold; in strong trends RSI can stay there.
- Divergence between price swings and RSI swings warns of fading momentum.
- The 50 line separates bullish and bearish momentum.

## Key settings

- Period 14, source close; levels 70 / 30 with a shaded zone.
- Smoothing: None (default), SMA, SMA + Bollinger Bands, EMA, RMA or WMA, length 14.
- Colour extremes on: the line is coloured beyond the levels.
