# Supertrend Supertrend: an ATR-based trailing band under price in an uptrend and above it in a downtrend, flipping when the close breaks it. ## How to read it - Green band under price: uptrend; red band above price: downtrend. - A flip of the band marks a trend change and is often used as a trailing stop. - In sideways markets it flips frequently. ## Key settings - ATR period 10, factor 3. - Trend fill opacity (shade between the line and the bar middle). ## Good to know - Drawn on the price pane, over the candles.
