Open Interest Profile
Open interest profile: where positions were opened or closed, by price. Each bar's change in open interest is spread over its price range; increases and decreases are stacked in one bar per row.

How to read it
- Opened (blue): open interest rose while price traded there, new positions were added.
- Closed (orange): open interest fell there, positions were closed or liquidated.
- The OI POC is the price where the most positions changed hands; heavy opening there marks a level many traders now defend.
- Read it with price direction: opening on a rally points to new longs (or shorts fading it), closing on a rally to short covering.
Key settings
- Scope: Visible range (default), Current period (day, week for 4h–1D, month above) or Session (one profile per UTC day).
- Row size auto (about 25 rows) or a number of ticks; value area 70 %; threshold hides small rows.
- Bar width 12 % of the chart; hollow bars, value-area background, behind candles, values with decimals.
Good to know
- Drawn on the price pane at the right edge; next to the Volume Profile and the Liquidation Profile when they are on, never on top of them.
- Built from the open interest the chart already loads (in USD); bars without an OI reading add nothing.
- Crypto perpetuals only: other markets show “No data for this market” in the legend.
