Himbit recovery (optional)

Himbit recovery is an extra option on top of encrypted key backup. It is off by default.

What it does

If you tick Himbit recovery, Himbit support can restore your backed-up trading keys when you lose both your device and your backup password or passkey.

What it means

To make that possible, Himbit staff could read those trading keys. With recovery off, nobody but you can open the backup.

If you turn it on

Use trade-only keys: the Hyperliquid trading key can't withdraw, and on Binance create a key without withdrawal permission.
Never enable withdrawals on a Binance key you back up.
You can untick recovery later from the backup's manage view.
